Floyd Mayweather Record

Floyd "Money" Mayweather has captivated the boxing world since he turned professional in October 11th, 1996. As an amateur boxer, Mayweather won the national Golden Gloves championship in 1993, 1994 and 1996. Nicknamed "pretty boy" by fellow boxers due to his unblemished face, Mayweather completed an impressive record of 84-4.

Mayweather Professional career started in October 1996, defeating Roberto Apodaca, who he knocked out in round two. He continued to progress in his boxing career and won his first belt defeating Genaro Hernández for the WBC and lineal super featherweight titles. Mayweather's next achievement was against José Luis Castillo in April 2002 winning the WBC, vacant The Ring and lineal lightweight titles. In June 2005 Mayweather defeated Arturo Gatti for the WBC super lightweight title. In 2006 Mayweather fought a very tough opponent in the shape of Zab Judah, winning the IBF and vacant IBO welterweight titles with a unanimous points decision. Mayweather was crowned the WBC light middleweight champion having defeated Oscar De La Hoya in May 2007. With the WBA (Super) light middleweight title in his sights, Mayweather faced Miguel Cotto. The fight went the distance and Mayweather were announced as champion as all three judges scored the fight in his favour.

Mayweather has an unblemished professional boxing record. Forty-nine fights and forty-nine victories. Arguably one of the best pound for pound fighters to ever put on gloves. His fiftieth opponent is in the shape of a young and very hungry Conor McGregor. A UFC Champion in his own rights and a fighter who has set the fight game on fire!
