As we all know, potentially the biggest fight ever is happening in 2017 between boxer Floyd Money Mayweather who has an outrages record of 49 fights and 49 wins and UFC champ Conor The Notorious McGregor who has 21 wins from 24 fights in the octagon. With the pair already exchanging some bitter words over social media, it shapes it up to be a cracker. The fight will commence on the 26th of August 2017 in Las Vegas. For both fighters, it will be the biggest payday they have ever had and will ever get. Mayweather is expected to earn in the region of €100 million with McGregor earning a smaller sum of €75 million, but somehow I don’t think he will be complaining about that anytime soon.
Bookmakers were quick to get offers out for the fight, with every single one way in the favour of the American boxer, Mayweather. It comes at no surprise with Floyd fighting 49 professional boxers in the past, with not one of them being able to get on the upper hand. For McGregor, it will be his first fight in the boxing ring making it hard to call whether he will be a challenge for Floyd.
Video’s emerged of The Notorious in training leading up towards the showdown and many were surprised at how bad he looked. However, many others are saying that it was all for the camera to make Mayweather think it is going to be a walk in the park. Only time will tell.
When you look at this fight and try to decide who you think will be the outright winner, the bookmakers feel as if it is going to go one way, and one way only. He is favoured on for every bookmaker making it hard to see past him. However, you can never right the man from Ireland off as his guts and passion could go a long way. Also, he is a great talker. If he can start to get under the skin of his opponent, we could have an unreal fight lined up.
Mayweather v McGregor Betting Options
This fight has a lot more markets to offer than just the win market, including all different types such as round betting, fight outcome, the exact method of victory, total rounds, round group betting and more.
Here at McGregor v Mayweather we fancy many different bets for the fight. Below we will talk about all the different markets you can use with the offers to go with them.
Round betting is what you need to look at if you are looking for a big money. If you currently have a gut feeling on how the fight will go down and have a good idea on when the fight will be ended, this is your chance for a big pay day. Many think if McGregor has any chance against Mayweather in this fight, he needs to knock him out early. If you have the same feeling, you can get the Irishman at a huge 40/1 to win in rounds 1-7, then 50/1 for round 8 and 9, then 90/1 for him to knock the America out in the last 3 rounds. For McGregor to win by decision, it is 22/1.
The offers aren't quite as high for Floyd Mayweather, but there is still room for some massive profit if you can guess correctly. For Money Mayweather to knock Conor out in round 1, you can get 33/1 which is a huge price. The round better for Floyd Mayweather differs massively, ranging from 25/1 down to as little at 11/1. To find out the rest of the prices of Mayweather individually, click here. The shortest price on how the fight will go down is Floyd Mayweather to win from a decision or technical decision priced at 2/1. This kind of price comes at no surprise with the American winning 23 of his fights that way in the past.
The fight outcome markets offer arguably the best deals when it comes to fight night. Whoever you fancy in the fight, you can get good profit when going through the fight outcome. For example, if you think Floyd Mayweather is going to knock out Conor McGregor, you can use the market ‘Floyd Mayweather by KO, TKO or Disqualification’. This gives you three opportunities to win and getting it at a decent price of 4/6. Alternately, you can get Conor at 11/2 on the same market.
If you can see the fight going the distance, you can choose who is going to win by decision or technical decision with Floyd priced at 2/1 and Conor priced at 22/1. The last of the five markets in a draw or technical draw, which is priced at 40/1. Don’t forget to get your account sorted here to check out the latest prices.
Exact Method of Victory
This is very similar to the one we have just spoken about. However, instead of having three chances of winning like when we said about the ‘Floyd Mayweather to win by KO, TKO or Disqualification’. You are only giving yourself one chance of winning, but the price will increase. For example, you can pick ‘Conor McGregor to win by knockout’ but if he goes on to win through a TKO, your bet loses.
Here are a few examples along with the current prices:
Floyd Mayweather by split decision 28/1
Floyd Mayweather by technical knockout 2/1
Conor McGregor by disqualified opponent 66/1
Conor McGregor to win by knockout 10/1
Here is where you can predict how many rounds you think will take place throughout the match. Some people get confused when they see over and under 2.5 goals for example. If you bet on under 2.5 rounds, the fight must be over in the first two rounds for your bet to win. If it gets into the third, you have lost. The markets start at under/over 2.5 rounds and go all the way to over/under 10.5 rounds, giving you lots to choose from. The best deals you can get on this market is if you think the fight is going to be over early on. Under 2.5 rounds is 8/1, under 3.5 is 11/2 and the higher you go the more the offers come in (lowering your return).
Round group betting is once again similar to the one we have just spoken about, however, this time you can pick a section of the fight that you think it will end and who will win it. For example, you can get the fight to be won by Floyd Mayweather in rounds 1-3 at a price of 9/1. From there, it will give you different prices for different sections.
This is how they go:
Each of the above has markets for both Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor. As you probably know by now, the deals on Floyd Mayweather are a lot shorter than the ones for Conor McGregor.
This one is easy to understand. Basically, all you are betting on here is a yes or no answer. If you think the fight will go through all 12 rounds and go down to a decision, you press yes. If you think that the fight will be over before the 12th round through a KO, TKO, etc you press no.
This is another market easy to get your head around. In this section, you have four markets you can pick and choose from. If you feel that a fighter will put the other on the floor throughout the fight, you select ‘Yes’. If you think there opponents will stand strong, you select ‘No’.
Here are the four markets:
Floyd Mayweather - Yes 4/7
Floyd Mayweather - No 5/4
Conor McGregor - Yes 7/2
Conor McGregor - No 1/5
